We had tickets to go to the Pirates game on this Sunday afternoon. So we made brunch reservations to Nola so we could have a few drinks and some good food before we walked over to the baseball game.
We weren't sure if it was going to be busy or not so we made reservations just to be safe. They opened at 11am and our reservations were at 1115. We were the first customers to arrive that morning but I'm still glad that we made reservations. Soon after this it did start to get busy.
We were greeted right away and taken to our seats. Our waitress was training somebody so we have to girls waiting on us. I felt a little rushed with our drink orders and looking at the menu. They gave us a minute to look it over and came right back. This is usually fine but we really needed a few more minutes. We both ordered Beermosas! We used Miller lite and mixed it with our orange juices. It was a good combination for the morning and a perfect drink right before afternoon baseball.
My wife ended up ordering the Eggs Trivette. She said it did sort of remind her of an eggs benedict. She liked it. I really wasn't hungry for breakfast food right then so I ordered their Nola Burger. That really hit the spot for me. It's a big burger with cheese, cornmeal fried green tomatoes, and onion marmalade. It was juicy and delicious! My hamburger came with their Voodoo fries. They were seasoned very well and I enjoyed the fries. This early lunch was really good and it was the perfect combination right before the Pirate game.
Overall we did have a good brunch. I wasn't that big of a fan over their brunch menu but my wife did like hers. The lunch and dinner menus are probably more for me which is why I really enjoyed my burger.
