This place isn't your typical shoe store, it's set up like a warehouse so there's shoes displayed on top of shelving with boxes stacked underneath.
Because of this set up, you get to browse and then look for your own shoe size (and not have to hunt down a sales person unless it's necessary).
I think due to the nature of the store, employees are more tasked oriented (cashier/front desk, stocking selves and back room) and that customers needing help don't get noticed. I stood in line that was 4 people deep (with only one cashier working) for about 15 mins before I got frustrated and hunted down someone to be a 2nd cashier.
I had to get a size check (they didn't have any in store), and they offered to special order both pairs of shoes in for me. They called me a few days later and informed me I could pick them up.
When I went in to pick up my shoes, again only one cashier was working and the customer being served was humming and hawing over accessories that I debated to leave. Once the indecisive person finally left, I was informed only one of the two pairs could be found in my size (ugh) but they offered a 10% discount on the pair I was purchasing (yay!)
I do like their selection here, but their customer service is less to be desired. If you're looking just to look at shoes and not be pestered then by all means go to Shoe Company.
