Ate lunch at BLD on what was their 2nd day open. Summary: Good food, but unorganized service.
There was no signage on the main door or any kind of indication they were open for business. (There was still a gate on the patio waiting to be installed). But we had called ahead and knew they were open.
The food: I ordered the iced green tea and the grilled portabella salad. My friend ordered a fresh squeezed lemonade and the turkey/brie sandwich with sweet potato fries. Our food was all very good.
Service: A waitress was attentive and tried to answer all our questions, but it was clear she didn't know that much about the menu. They were even out of whatever bread the sandwich was supposed to come on (seems odd for opening week). And when they brought us our menus, they brought us each a breakfast menu but they only had one lunch menu left. This seemed odd since there were only a few customers dining at lunch time. How do you run out of lunch menus?
They were very polite and tried to be helpful, but it just seemed like they were all "new" and not quite ready to be open yet.
The breakfast menu looked the most appealing to us -- so I will be back to try it. Hopefully they have the kinks worked out by then.
