| - This place was quite interesting! I randomly bought a Groupon here for the Virtual Reality games for two one day without looking up reviews prior to my purchase. I was pretty surprised to see such low ratings afterwards, cause I thought my experience was okay.
We came in at 9pm on a Sunday night and it was very dead - we were the only customers with one employee working. It was a bit awkward at first, but I think the employee did a good job at explaining what to do and how things would work. You start by putting on your VR gear, followed by some quick instructions on the screen telling you how to navigate your controllers. Then, you choose between several games ranging from easy to intermediate to advanced. We only had half an hour to play a few games, so I'd recommend leaving a game once you're bored of it so you can try something new! I played an egg game, a roller coaster game, a spider-man game, and a table tennis game - definitely a cool experience but I wish the games had more depth to them. I got bored really quickly which is why I had to keep game-hopping.
One thing that I didn't like was that it was a Groupon for TWO, which had me under the impression that two people would get to play in the same game. This is not the case, as you will be stationed in two different spots, instructed to start off with individual games. However, there are a few multi-player games which allow you play with one another, but they are more advanced and not recommended.
This was my first time trying out a VR game and I thought it was pretty neat. I probably wouldn't come back but I'd recommend trying it out at least once if you're also new to this sort of thing!
