An upscale version of Ross or TJ Maxx. Good selection... usually.
I stop in at this Marshall's location on occasion to check their clearance racks and see what new men's fragrances they have. I've also purchased shoes and luggage there as well. The brands carried at this store are pretty upscale overall and major designers can be found on the racks. Selection-wise, it really depends on when you come. I've come at times when it was lacking, while other times there were lots of items to choose from.
The staff is relatively nice, but not amazingly helpful. I've never had anyone stop to ask me if I needed anything and I've been shopping there for years. The dressing room has since been remodeled and now only accommodates 3 people at one time. This was definitely to cut down on theft. Which also means that if you need to try something on, you may have to wait in line. That would be my biggest gripe with this place. Ok, that and the parking (especially on weekends).
Prices range from "pretty good" to "yikes", depending on how high end the designer item is that you are looking at. I've seen Armani denim there for $300 or more before. And I've also bought RL Polo shirts for $15 brand new. So it can really be a mixed bag. Come earlier on the weekends or you will pay. Parking is a nightmare and the store itself is crammed with people. Weekdays are better, with lots of registers still open. Overall, I like the brands that Marshall's has in stock. They are priced well-enough and the selection is decent.
Yes, Marshall's will get my business on occasion. As long as they carry Ralph Lauren.
