| - This is a nice resort, however, with a couple small nuisances.
Let's start with the pros:
The lazy river. It really is awesome. They open the gate for it at 10- people start lining up at 9:30 so fight your hangover and just get down there, it is worth it. There are about five or six pools, as well. One of them is supposed to be an adult only pool but naturally, there were kids there. One would think adults wouldn't bring their children to an adults only pool but just like every other tourist hotspot, you will be surprised.
Housekeeping was great.
The buffet is bomb. I don't really know why people are complaining about it, we really enjoyed it.
The food court is super convenient, with lots of choices. Tons of small shops too.
Nice rooms and if you're lucky, you will get an awesome view. We were lucky and had an awesome view of New York, New York.
There is a monorail station at this hotel. USE THIS! It has 7 stops at basically everything you will want to see, and with the temps reaching 110, I guarantee you'll thank me.
The cons-
Paid for the early check in and planned our flight around this. We got there and the room wasn't ready for the time they said it would be, and we had to wait for two hours. So don't even bother with that option because you will just leave your luggage with them and have to go kill time, the room won't be ready. We initially got a king view room but had to settle for a double queen because it was ready before a king. We did get reimbursed for the early check in fee.
DO NOT TAKE ITEMS OUT OF THE FRIDGE unless you want to be charged for it. On our first night there, we were basically geeking out at the ridiculous items in there, and a couple hours later checked our account on the tv and had a 64 dollar charge for all the items we simply picked up and put right back down. We called the front desk immediately and they said they would take the charges off after someone came up to confirm that we didn't use the items. It was confirmed the next day and the charges were gone. However, when we checked out, got home and checked our account, the 64 dollar charge reappeared. This was a pretty scummy move considering if I hadn't checked my bank account, it would have gone unnoticed. Yeah, there is a sticker on the fridge that states removing items from the fridge may result in charges, but so small I could barely read it which is why there was no mind paid to it.
The shower drained really slow and on a hot day the last thing I want to do is stand ankle deep in filth.
Wrapping it up, I'd recommend this resort- But I also recommend checking your bank account a couple times a day while you are there and upon returning home because they really will overcharge you on the smallest things. Playing with people's money is a no no, so is taking advantage of people who don't know any better.
