  • I recently moved from Tucson and was referred by a co worker to tlc pediatrics. The first couple of visits were good except the wait times. This last visit however is making me think I should find my son a new pediatric. As we first walked in the woman at the front desk didn't say anything or even smile so I said hi to her first and she hesitated then said a very unfriendly hello. I sat down and was thinking okay that wasn't a very good sign. We waited awhile as usual and when finally brought back to the room waited some more for the doctor to come back. My whole purpose of my appointment was go talk to the doctor about getting my son a referral (my son has a lot of medical issues) so when the doctor came in I began to explain to her what has been going on with him and kind of going through his medical history with her when all of sudden one of the assistants just opens the door and walks in the room to tell her she had a phone call from a cardiologist. She told her the person on the phone said it was not urgent and that she could call him back. Well to my surprise the doctor just gets up and excuses herself to take the phone call. It was in my opinion, very rude and unprofessional. I was very upset because I had made this appointment two hours before his dentist appointment which is literally next door since I had to take time off work for this I figured I make them back to back. Even when I had scheduled the appointment I told them that. So finally 30 minutes later the doctor comes back and at this point we only had 10 minutes before my son's next appointment so she rushed to do is 4 year wellness check and didn't even give me the referral I needed. And to top it all off they ended up giving my son his 4 year old shots which I had no idea they were going to do. My son's old primary care would advise me all that over the phone so I could be prepared with his shot records and due to my son's extensive medical history I usually talk to him and prepare him for things like that instead of just springing it up on him and making him not trust the doctors even more. So that was my experience and I will probably not return there again.
