  • This is as cheap as it gets. You want a gym with minimal costs on a monthly basis. This is it! This is a 24/7 gym located in the Golden Gate plaza which is connected to a giant No Frills location in Scarborough. The closest intersection would be Victoria Park & Eglinton. The gym is very close to the Scarborough LA and is in very close distance to two Goodlife locations (approximately 5km). It serves as a no frills basic gym with cardio equipment and free weights. It's run under the Goodlife banner and the equipment looks to be about the same as a Goodlife facility. Just rebranded under this banner. The two price points are $10/monthly paid upfront on an annual basis + a $25 joining fee (this fee is ridiculous. Akin to a normal gym's admin fee). You can't share your pass with anyone at this level. It's probably better to get a $20 membership and split it with someone close to you. Coworker, Spouse, Friend etc. It's pretty spacious considering the location. Has a wide array of cardio equipment as well as weights. The weight section is considerably smaller but there are enough weights to get a good dumbbell workout in. It can get crowded at times during peak hours (4pm - 8pm M-F) THERE ARE NO WATER FOUNTAINS! Yes, you heard me. This is such a health hazard given that people could be dehydrated from working out. The only water source is from the taps in the bathroom which in and of themselves are tiny. One stall and one urinal in the mens washroom. The staff are friendly enough and do go around checking to make sure the paper towels are well stocked and the gym is in workable order. There are no classes, no private studios and they charge insane prices for water and drinks. Can't complain given the price. The 24/7 aspect is fantastic and allows you to be in control of your gym use. There is a lot of parking given the No Frills and mall in which Fit 4 Less is located. Nobody really puts away their weights here. This is a problem but a lot of gyms have this issue as well. The gym is not the cleanest so definitely bring a towel of your own and drape it across all the equipment. You don't want to catch anything nasty. All in all, you get the Goodlife treatment at Dollar Store prices. Great value. Highly recommend.
