| - I've moved I think eight times; all of my moves (well, except for one) have been awesome, and this was still my best moving experience! If you are moving within or out of Las Vegas, I highly recommend this company.
I moved from Las Vegas to Austin, TX, and every member of the Christopher Moving team was there to help in every single way possible. My communication with rock star Ann was great, and she was kind and helpful when it came to my endless, probably annoying questions. If you want to win your way into this company's heart, be prepared on moving day -- it makes the moving experience much less painful as well. They kept thanking me for being so organized when they moved me out of my downtown condo.
Mike was a great on-site estimator. Awesome to talk to and had lots of beneficial advice. He alleviated all my worries.
I was nervous about getting out of my building due to the limits of a 4-hour elevator reservation and the potential for another moving company needing the elevator while my movers were still working. It was an extremely long walk from my unit to the moving van. They had to walk the equivalent of about 3 hallway lengths, and yet they were the quickest (and, yes, also careful) movers that I've ever had. They were done in about two hours, and I had over 100 boxes and plenty of furniture for a 2BR! WHAT?! Sure, I happened to have the benefit of having 5 (!) guys that day, but that's still very impressive, especially since time had to be spent loading the truck in a Tetris-like fashion. They were very careful to not leave any of my belongings unattended, which was my other concern. Thank you, Marvin, Alex, Steve, Kam, and Anthony! I couldn't believe when I saw them already in the building approaching my unit, all ready to go... thanks for being punctual and so energetic! They also asked if I had a certain way I wanted things to be moved (i.e. like a particular system), as they were ready to accommodate me in that regard, too. I forgot to ask, but I think Steve was the leader of the crew, and he was awesome -- very calm, focused, polite, and extremely helpful. So glad he was there... true leadership! I didn't really get to talk to Cameron/Kamron (sp?) or Anthony much, but they were scrambling all over the place. Thanks, guys! That leaves Marvin and Alex, who were the guys who had to make that long drive from Las Vegas to Austin. They arrived exactly on the morning that was predicted. I wasn't even worried that they wouldn't. By the way, how many moving companies do you know that don't put your belongings on a truck with other clients' things, and who don't outsource to a major interstate mover, and who arrive exactly when they said they would? It's rare, and I'm grateful!
Marvin and Alex were freakin' awesome. They drove the truck to a storage unit in Austin with zero issues! Thanks for keeping it secure with 3 nights out on the road, guys! They picked up items that, in the past, took straps and at least three guys to move. They were also super friendly, hilarious, energetic, grateful, fast, accommodating, skilled, and CONSTANTLY moving. I even suggested that they take breaks because they'd only take a sip of a drink here and there. They would have been done even quicker if I hadn't talked nonstop with them as they were doing their job. ha I told them they were the best moving company ever.
