| - If you haven't heard yet, then you MUST live under a rock. Telus World Of Science is presenting Gunther Von Hagens' Body Worlds exhibit starting tomorrow.
I'm super excited about it so I went to go purchase some tickets.
Yeeeaah.... did NOT get a good first impression.
All I wanted to do was run in, buy some tickets and run out, but I saw it going very differently in my mind than it actually did.
First of all, when you walk in, the science centre is nothing to write home about. It looks less than impressive, is pretty tiny, and right now it is under construction so it is a total gong show.
Secondly, it took them 40 minutes to get me my tickets. I wish I was joking. I understand that things were disarray because of the construction, but when someone wants to give you a couple hundred dollars worth of sales, you FIND a way to help them...and fast!
Their printer wasn't working, or something, and at one point there were 4 different people, all standing there, trying to figure out how to print the tickets I had purchased. In my mind I was totally doing that thing where you ask "How many people does it take to, in this case, print tickets?"
Finally the manager took me over to his office where he had someone else print the tickets for me. So I did end up getting them and I finally did end up getting outta there.
Hopefully my experience at the exhibit is a whole lot better. We're not off to a good start, but I'll definitely keep you posted.
