| - I like the down home feel you get when you are here. It's relaxed, cozy, friendly. It's family owned and run, with the father and son doing most of things, from what I can tell - and the mother/girlfriend/a female person who I've only seen once bringing supplies.
Everything seems like it's homemade with family/traditional recipes. I pretty much stick to one meal, it's the closest to Korean style bulgogi/kalbi and is consistently well flavored.
The only thing I would even remotely offer tips on is the speed of service/delivery. You are seated (or seat yourself) quickly and usually have a menu/drinks in a decent amount of time (I am big about the wait time, if you haven't noticed yet from my other reviews). The last time I was in was on my lunch break (as it always is). I ordered my usual meal and my co-worker ordered soup. There were a couple other tables there, but they all already had food. We sat, ordered and got drinks within 5 minutes of arriving. When the food arrived, it was 45 minutes later - so 50 minutes into our 1 hour lunch break - and it takes about 10 minutes for the drive. We had to ask for the check right as our food arrived (I hate rushing this), and explained that it was simply because we had to get back to work. We were 10 minutes late getting back to work. I will still eat here, but I might just have to call ahead first - I can't afford to be late to work because they are on "Hawaiian time".
Otherwise, I have no complaints. The food is good, they are the only place where I actually eat the macaroni salad. The rice has always been fresh and the flavors have been great.
