There's a great hotel hiding at the Hard Rock.
We stayed at the HRH Tower, whose check-in, away from the bright lights and loud noises of the casino, provided a refined way to start our staycation. The $20 trick got us bumped up into a corner king suite.
We checked in and headed down to the fresh juice and espresso bar quietly tucked away on the second floor of the HRH Tower. We relaxed and enjoyed a couple of espressos before heading upstairs. The room was spacious, luxurious, stylish, with sweeping views. It's definitely a "fit for a rock star" room product.
We chose a day when the pool was quiet, which was a good move. We spend the afternoon relaxing on the white sand beach of the quieter Nirvana Pool.
The level of service that we received throughout our visit was impressive. It felt more attentive and personal than expected, with employees who seemed both empowered and eager to solve guest issues.
The only issue I have with the Hard Rock is its lack of playable video poker. But it's 2015, what are you gonna do.
