The one thing that the doctor (and xray tech who was also unkind, disinterested and impatient) could have done better to improve my experience would be to listen to me. I was NOT there for my osteoarthritis which I have lived with for many years. I was there because I had fallen three days before and was in pain.
However, the first thing the MD said to me.....(which was rather odd), "What a waste of money.....the MRI you had". I never had an MRI. I understand the point he was trying to make (that an MRI wasn't needed to dx my knees) but it was clear he didn't know why I was even there. I have no idea what the notes might say but if they say anything about the appearance of my knee, my leg strength, or pain with range of motion, he falsely documented the care he provided. At no time did the physician look at or touch my knee. The only "assessment" was when he asked me to stand up and take a few steps.
I had driven more than an hour for my appointment, I was in pain, I was having a hard time walking and I left there in tears feeling very unheard, poorly assessed and not having received any "best-in-class orthopedic care" as the CORE Institute website says.
Please note that other than the xray tech, the staff was pleasant.
