Forgot about this place for a while until a visiting friend requested that we visit. So we did. The house specialty here are deceptively hearty sandwiches served in soft, creamy arepas - which are sort of like the love child of cornbread and bao. The meats grilled over wood - stacks of which are piled inside the restaurant - are imparted with a smoky flavor that perfectly complements the buns into which the meat is nestled. Be aware that these are pretty filling - the first time I was here I ordered two, with a side of rice and beans, and it was way too much food. These things are filling.
