I had been seen by the same optometrist for 4 years. I only went to Target Optical because my right eye felt strained and my supervisor recommended them (she also had a coupon for frames she gave me). I came in 30 minutes early and I was greeted and given paperwork. While I was waiting for the optometrist, the floor crew looked at my coupon and it turned out I could have any frame I wanted FOR FREE. Talk about awesome. I looked around and was called back fairly quick. Dr. Campana asked me several questions (why I was coming in, how long have I had my glasses for, when was my last visit, what do I do for a living). He asked when was the last time I wore contacts and how did they feel. I answered honestly (it was crazy painful and scratchy) and then we did the 1 or 2 test. When we got to the end he showed me what my results were compared to my old prescription. I. Was. Shocked. He said my prescription changed substantially and asked about my health and if I had any changes. I told him no and that my old optometrist would always tell me my prescription didn't change. He asked if I ever had trouble adjusting to a new prescription and I told him only once when I got lenses to address my astigmatism. He listened when I asked for a brand of contacts I only tried once but felt amazing. He gave me trials and they worked well (No scratchiness!). He checked my eyes and I was good to go. The floor staff gave me time to pick frames and measured my old ones. He let me know to come back when I was ready to buy contacts. I let him know I wore them sparingly and he informed me I could buy just a box for each eye. I told him how much my vision changed and how sad I felt that I was struggling so much (I have migraines so my vision being correct is extremely important). He looked at me and said welcome to your new home. We are happy to have you. So yea. They are awesome and I highly recommend them.
