I think this place is my replacement for Red Mango cravings.
I first noticed this yogurt place after having had dinner at Shabu Grill next door, but I made the (wrong) assumption that it was just another run-of-the-mill mediocre frozen yogurt shop. But after seeing the reviews on here, it made me excited to give the place a try, and it actually lived up to the hype!
The woman (maybe the owner?) was super nice and offered small cups to sample any flavors. It looked like an interesting blend of classic flavors and hard-to-find flavors, like cookie butter, horchata, salted peanut butter, etc. I sampled the taro, and surprisingly I enjoyed it. Tried taro once at Yogurtland and hated it.
What I loved though was the consistency of the yogurt. Not at all watery or runny. And the machines looked well-kept and everything was clean. Unlike at yogurtland most of the time. The tart was pretty much perfect in terms of flavor and texture! It was almost exactly like the tart yogurt from Red Mango (which I still miss the location that used to be on Eastern & Richmar). Best of all you can mix and match and get as much (or as little) as you'd like. No having to worry that an employee's going to give you a small amount.
Lot of choices in toppings, including several options for mochi, which is one of my must haves.
Stamp card for repeat purchases... will definitely make a point to stop by whenever I'm in the area and craving something sweet and tart! Wish this place was on the SW side of town!! I'd probably visit every day.
