  • I had an ice cream bar from the Kensington market location several years ago and enjoyed it, so I was very disappointed in my recent trip to the Queen West location for scooped ice cream. The flavours were muted and the texture was off. Espresso chocolate chip didn't taste like coffee or chocolate, and had a grainy texture which is likely as a result of a technical flaw in production, or if it was allowed to melt slightly and re-freeze (home ice cream maker here, the texture is the hardest part!). The mint chocolate chip had more flavour, but wasn't any different from store bought. Unfortunately, definitely not on par with the better ice cream shops in Toronto like Ed's Real Scoop, or Bang Bang right around the corner.
