| - We ate here last week, it was very average. And average doesn't cut it. I go back to what I usually say about LV strip buffets... some people aren't going to agree... but... if you're thinking about eating at one...head to the Bellagio, and EAT THERE.
Aria buffet is OK. But we had dinner on a Sat Nite which was about $40 per person with tax & tip (YES you still tip at the LV buffets) and was NOT worth it. We don't drink, so the unlimited wine didn't come into play. The lobster was downright bad, tasteless and dry. Crab legs were fresh, decent enough...some poeple were just eating those and nothing else.
We had the displeasure of butting heads with the seedier element of Vegas right there in the crab line. Some hill-billy woman was holding things up, just standing there with no one in front of her. We politely asked if she was in fact in line - and she got all bent out of shape. You know the type - fat with the K-Mart shorts exposing legs no one should see, clumps of greasy dirt-blond strands for hair and big, dull neo-biker tattoos on her arms. How these people get in places like the Aria, who knows. The buffet probably needs the business. Anyway...
I gave Buffet at Aria 3 stars for its OK quality. Plus, the people who work there DO work hard. I won't deny them that. I say that, despite the fact that the cashier was, well, sort of abrasive we felt and the hostesses didn't really seem to have it together. People were being seated from 2 lines (not the VIP line) and there seemed to be no order to it. People were getting upset.
It's really more like 2 1/2 stars but I'll give 3 in recognition of the seemingly nice, hard-working serving staff. But, I wouldn't return.
