I don't like writing bad reviews but this is just crazy. First, I have to agree with other posters that this place doesn't do anything and always refers you to someone else. The specialist I went to after a referral was surprised that they sent me to him because it wasn't necessary.
I have been working with them since that appointment (5/23/14) they are refusing to send the bill to my insurance company. This has been going on for a year and a half. Won't return my calls and health net has called them multiple times. Health net spoke to a billing person named Carrie who told them that they would send the information requested to health net but never did. (7/15/2015)
Just got a letter from collections. (9/23/15) Submitted to my credit report (9/1/15) for 198.00. Helth net is calling them again. (10/6/15) Per Health net October 6th was the first time a claim was received by Caring for Families. Was denied due to timely filing. Because they were going after my credit Health Net did a one time adjustment to there claim and excepted a second claim on that same date.
Just called again and Carrie was very nice about it because at least they are trying and it has been so long. Carrie said she cleared the account. (10/13/15) but according to the credit Bureau on November 12th never did. (I didn't worry about it because I took her word and thought it would be 30 day process and I had no paperwork at the time to dispute payment) Per Health Net Claim was processed November 19th Check was dated for November 24th. On 12/3/15 Caring for families cashed the check from Health Net and for 35 days they did not send me a bill for the new balance or notify the credit Bureau that payment was received.
Now I got a bill from Caring for families for the first time for the remainder of the balance $39.60. (1/7/16) I called them the day I got the bill some time during the week of 1/11/16) stating that I got a bill from them and Carrie said the account was cleared and asked them what was going on. They did not return my call and sent it to collections due to my lack of response for the $39.60 outstanding balance (1/27/16.) I was out of town for two weeks do to a death in the family. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had working with any company. They obviously don't want to take insurance and want you to pay the entire bill up front.
It still goes on. I have paid the $39 dollars (1/30/16) and they still put a mark on my credit report for the full 198 dollars after the payment processed by them on (12/3/15)
