| - I stayed at the Charlotte Airport Sheraton for four nights to attend a conference that was held there. I had a pretty good experience...
Check-in was smooth, and we were directed to our room. One issue that they have is that they appear to have only one or two luggage carts, and both when I was checking in and checking out they were in use. Realistically for a hotel of this size, they should have three or four at least.
We were in one of the club-level rooms, and had a magnificent view of... well, the parking lot and Interstate. That side of the hotel just doesn't have much of view. The other side has a bit better view of the city, but that is about it. At least we could watch aircraft landing and taking off from the airport.
Our room was clean and in good condition. One issue I did have (and have always had with Sheratons) is that the desk has a plate of glass on the top of it. This is great for looks, but makes using an actual mouse with your laptop impossible without putting something down for the LED to shine again.
The Club-level service was very nice as well. Breakfast in the morning consisted of eggs, bacon, two kinds of sausage, and either home fries or hash browns, plus fruit and various bread goods. Drinks were available day and night as well. In the evening they have hors d'oeuvres which can range from tacos to empenadas and other items, plus a nice cheese and fruit platter. It is a cash bar for beer and wine, and since the beer selection was miserable we did not partake.
Downstairs the pool is also quite nice, being an indoor/outdoor pool with a lazy river sort of layout minus the actual water flow of a lazy river. Unfortunately it tends to be closed in the early morning (6am-8am or so) which meant that an early dip was not feasible. Later on in the day kids can sort of swarm the pool, making it a noise affair.
There is plentiful parking at the hotel. On the website they mention that there is a parking fee, but we were not charged for parking, nor were we towed. There is also mention of valet parking, but I so no evidence of actual valets, so I think this service has been discontinued.
As for the conference facilities, I found them adequate for smaller conferences.
All in all a nice place to stay.
