  • I have been to Pancake cafe many, many times over the years. I have always been satisfied with the food, but the service is very hit or miss. I had a bad experience there on the morning on 5/5/14. Our waiter was extremely inattentive. He walked away after taking only 2 drink orders from our table of 3 people, forgot to bring out the butter or syrup, then seemed very short when I reminded him of it. It took forever to get our check or a to-go box and he admitted he had completely forgotten about us. It was a Monday at 11am and there was a maximum of 6 tables in the entire restaurant! He then proceeded to tell us how he would rather be getting drunk that day. It was so unprofessional. Despite this, and probably against my better judgement, as we were leaving I made reservations for the Mother's Day brunch (I wrote a separate review for that, which was also a disaster). I gave my name for the reservation, and our waiter said he liked my name. I said "Thank you". And then he responded that "He didn't mean it like that, he was married". What?! I was thanking him for a compliment! Again, so awkward, uncomfortable, and unprofessional!
