Shopping is my passion always has been and probably always will be. Living in Pittsburgh there aren't many places to go to get the high end items I'm dying to have. Therefore Ross Park is the only place to do this. Which is perfectly fine with me as this mall is incredible. Always clean. Always adding new high end stores. I can almost guarantee anything I buy here no one else will have considering it actually isn't close to my house.
The only complaint that I have with this mall is with the employees. (And this isn't at every store) considering the stores are high end and I am only 21, I am usually followed around or ignored. One of the two. Meanwhile I do all of my shopping at this mall and have the money to be there. At some stores the employees get to know you. I'm which case you get amazing treatment. For instance at Tory Butch and Kate Spade I am such a frequent shopper. At these stores I am known by name.
Which makes shopping easier and more fun.
It's hard to be young and want to be taken seriously in these type stores, I know this. I think some of the employees need a bit of a reality check. Age is not a direct correlation to class. So please don't treat me like a thief or like a person who is just there to waste time. It's this type of treatment that really bothers me.
Anyone in a store should be treated with respect from the employees. Weather they are spending money or not. I guess this is the type of mall where the workers need to get to know you before they treat you well or want to pay attention to you. Especially in stores such as Nordstrom where in some departments they work on commission.
Just be confident and demand the service you deserve if they aren't paying attention to you. In the end they will get in a lot of trouble if managers find out they have been ignoring certain age demographics.
