| - I can't remember the last time I stayed at a BW, I'm guessing it was during some family vacation in the 80s. I typically stay at Hilton, Hyatt or Marriott properties these days but there weren't any of those close to a business conference I was attending so I decided to give this place a try. The good: the hotel has clearly been recently renovated, the room I stayed in was clean with updated furniture and a comfortable bed, service was also good, both the front desk and room service staff were friendly and helpful--these are definitely my primary concerns with any hotel and I had no complaints there. The not so good: as others have mentioned, the rooms are on the small side--for me, this was not a big deal as I was there alone for just one night but it could get cramped if you're traveling with a whole family or something for more than a few nights. I had also forgotten what it was like to have a loud AC unit, and this one was LOUD. Now, if you're one of those who likes to sleep with "white noise", you might not mind. And, the AC was certainly effective which was great considering the recent heat wave. I also thought the walls were a little thin, I was lucky to be able to sleep in a little given my meeting was starting after 8 am but I was awoken by my neighbor's shower--I am a very light sleeper so, again , this might not be a problem for everyone. Room service dinner was decent, about the quality of a fast casual restaurant . My only real complaint was the wifi--as noted, I was on a business trip so I really needed wifi access--it was free, which was good, but it took several tries to get a connection, the signal was weak and SLOW, needless to say, I wasn't able to get much done. All in all , this was a perfectly fine place to stay and if I had another meeting in the area I wouldn't be opposed to staying here again but I have definitely become spoiled by some of the higher end hotels.
