| - If you've read my other reviews (and you probably haven't considering most of them are from IL and FL), you'd know I love Chipotle. Their value is outstanding, their service is great and their food is excellent. I regularly give Chipotle locations 5 stars. However, this location in particular is something special.
I placed an online order for a double-wrapped veggie burriot with everything. This is my go-to order. It's huge, only $7, and guac is FREE with a veggie burrito. You can't go wrong. I paid for my order, and I was told it was still being made. I could see the worker still diligently crafting my burrito.
Then some worker in the back was saying that he already made it. Sure enough, a finished burrito with my name on it was sitting on the counter. They checked the order that was being made, and it also had my name. By this point the 2nd burrito had been finished, so now there were two burritos for me.
I told them I swore that I placed only one order. I checked online later, and I did indeed only place one single order. The manager(?) explained that sometimes order get duplicated, and it wasn't my fault. The "mistake" was totally on their end. Still, I felt really bad for having them make me two burritos.
But here's the cool part, and I'm sure you have already guessed by now what happened. The manager gave me the second burrito FOR FREE. She said it was their fault, and rather than waste food, I should have it for free. I offered to pay for the 2nd burrito, but she said it was fine.
So in the end, I walked away with 2 MASSIVE veggie burritos for $7. It's Saturday, and now I'm basically fed for the entire weekend. This is one of the nicest, most generous acts I have ever seen from an eating establishment.
Good job Chipotle. You've earned 5 stars and a customer for as long as I live in Phoenix. Thank you.
