  • Contacted Lowes to get an estimate for a glass shower door. They charge $40 for someone (a subcontractor) to come out and take the measurements. After calling Lowes and arranging for the subcontractor to come out and take the measurements, nothing happened. I had to follow-up with Lowes several times to get the subcontractor to show up. After the subcontractor came and took the measurements, I waited a week and still never heard back from Lowes. Had to call them again to find out what was going on. It was obvious that Lowes had lost the measurements taken by the subcontractor. It took Lowes another two days to come up with a bid that was extremely hap-hazard and substantially greater than the two other bids we received. Overall, a very negative experience. Would never use Lowes again for any type of home improvement project.
