I miss Mark, the previous owner. I have been this UPS Store's customer for 5 years. I am the Caregiver to my partner of 35 years w/Early Onset Alzheimers. He cannot be left alone. Our chore runs are based upon ease of parking & minimal wait time.
When last here, I brought in 3 boxes for return to home shopping networks. Rahim, present owner, reluctantly accepted my boxes & commented that only 1 was UPS. He pointed out that I should take my boxes to the nearest post office. I ignored his comment & also asked for a sheet of stamps. I was charged $12 & said that I was unaware of any stamp increase. I was then told that others charge $9.80 but he would charge me $12 for this purchase in his store.
In my pre Caregiver years, this textbook poor example of customer service, would have triggered further comments from me & also my follow up to agencies so they would be aware of his discriminatory practices. I, however, chose to pay the $12 to minimize any hassle & any further conversation that may have resulted in an Alzheimers meltdown.
Previous postings serve as testament to the shabby treatment of customers. This owner does not know that I am a proud UPS Retiree of many years & bristle that the UPS name is associated w/this Store. I am now considering a formal complaint for the shabby treatment devoid of any compassion & understanding.
