To me, this place is no more than last resort cigarette stop. A little steep on pricing, and a 50 cent charge (or whatever it is) for credit cards every time. They have some snacks, but not a lot of choices on the healthy side. Tons of chip bags to chose from, as well as candy with layers of dust caked on the skittle bags to the bottom right of the cash register.
They also have an enormous rack of overly priced and underly creative all-occasion cards, if you're ever in a pinch. They have an extensive magazine selection, reminiscent of the airport news stands, complete with porn mags and all.
I like the owners style. He "looks" angry all the time and is really quiet, often mistaken for a jerk, but he's a cool dude. It sometimes takes a while in line behind the RTA-stop patrons from across the street locking in their sure-to-be-winning Powerball numbers. When it is your time to pay, I wouldn't try to have conversation with him or you'll leave disappointed because he won't oblige. Just my kind of guy.
