Surprise, Surprise, SURPRISE!!!
I moved to Henderson Nevada from Columbus Ohio and I found an apartment on Zillow. It is a lot smaller than what I am accustomed but I managed to squeeze my belongings in.
The grounds and staff are great, however, I had a few unexpected guests. Cockroachs the size of a newborn infant's foot!
Giant cockroachs squeezed in between a crack in the front door. I've been here for 3 weeks. The exterminator has been here 3 times! The problem is there is a manhole covering a sewer where these guests reside.
I purchased & installed weatherstripping to close the gap between the door & the jamb. The exterminator sprayed around the perimeter of my apartment and the sewer manhole cover.
I had well over 30 cockroachs dying in front of my apartment door & the sidewalk leading up to my door. Several more cockroachs climbed out of the sewer and continued to die.
But that's not the only problem, I've had since moving here. I provided management with minor repairs that needed to be addressed, it took 3 weeks to get them addressed. I will say that the reason it took so long to correct my issues is because of broken air conditioners around the property.
I'm counting down the days until I can move out! I've learned that I should not move into an apartment, in Nevada with a sewer opening near the front door or the apartment...period!
I am so grossed out. Everytime I come home, I scan the area for cockroachs the size of a newborn infant's foot. When I come into the apartment I search every room that I enter, for bugs!
