  • We went to purchase replacement lampshades for our $2500 Flos lighting fixtures. We found a few styles that matched our decor. After being ignored by several salespeople when asking questions, we settled in the checkout queue and people were being herded in front of us by other sales people. I saw four people walk out due to the queue issue and the fact they don't take American Express. I ended up returning a week later to purchase a matching shade when I happened to notice a few cases of lights stashed in the corner. Guess what folks, they get their supply from Alibaba. No buying trips to Asia and Europe for Cartright. Simply hop on Alibaba or Aliexpress and you can access their entire supply direct from the supplier. Rude salespeople, overpriced and obnoxious. I don't mind paying for a brand, but paying European designer prices for items that cost 1/4 the price is obnoxious. Not only that, they get pissy when you use a credit card. I wanted to use an Amex and the girl simply says "no". She then rolled her eyes when I handed her a MasterCard. "We prefer cash or debit" the girl says... Looks like the CRA should run an audit in these folks!
