Dining at Mesa grill was a split experience. We loved the food - we were initially served with a bread bowl which was really fresh and warm. We ordered tiger shrimp tamales as our appetizer - which was the best dish of the evening. For the main course we ordered sixteen spice chicken and ancho chili. Chicken was nice and moist but nothing spectacular; it came with mashed potatoes which is a whole other story - simply delicious. Chili was amazing - the crust and the sauce were probably the best parts of the dish.
Service in general was ok - glasses were filled with water regularly - we were checked on to see how our food was and such but.... It was my friends birthday and we asked the hostess to bring out a cake as a surprise towards the end (I was obviously going to pay for it). Guess what - nothing! Was really disappointed by such carelessness from such a big establishment especially when we went there only to celebrate someone's birthday! Not sure we'll return after our experience.
