| - We got this place for $80/night through Hotwire, which was a steal considering what it costs through the hotel directly.
I know a lot of reviews mentioned that it was a subpar hotel. However, I found that it lived up to it's 3-star rating since our room was nicely furnished, bright and clean.
We didn't talk very much to the hotel staff as we were always out, but the cleaning staff was thorough with making the beds, providing clean linens and towels.
However, the reception desk was a little standoff-ish but they weren't rude.
The beauty of this hotel was that it was nice and clean, had free Wifi which worked great for our floor (11), and linked to an underground system. The underground was convenient because it contained an IGA, pharmacy, cafeteria, and a warmer route to Berri-UQAM metro. This was very much appreciated because holy moly it was -40 outside when we went!
I would definitely stay here again if I got it for the same price solely because of where it's located. Berri-UQAM is an interchangeable station so you can access 2 lines from it. Moreover, it's close to China Town, Old Montreal, and a quick metro ride to St. Laurent or Eaton Centre.
My only complaint is that they don't have a mini-fridge.
