Last weekend I saw The Book of Mormon at the Princess of Wales and I was really impressed by the venue! The Lobby is really well organized and they really make an effort to help you go to the correct side of the theatre. The Lobby is nice and spacious as are the concourses on the upper 2 levels. The Bar is well stocked and they also have a coffee station, plus they sell ice cream! Also the bathrooms are nice and clean, with a cool waterfall thing for hand washing, a nice touch!
I was on the balcony level (upper level) to one side and still had a great view of the stage and the acoustics were great. The theatre itself is very elegant, it has some traditional decor but with modern touches. The seats are also very comfortable which is an added bonus. My only minor complaint is that the staircases can be crowded when leaving, but it only delayed us a couple of minutes when leaving and was more a problem of slow moving people than a poor staircase design.
It's too bad that the Mirvishes are thinking of knocking this theatre down and putting condos up because it is a great venue!
