| - I was here couple months ago, but I had to come back and write a review about this place because I still love it so much. Yes, you could say it is overpriced and not so good and whatmore. Some of the items on the menu could just be considered mediocre, yet their signature dish were definitely worth calling them 'signature.'
My friend and I took all the recommendations of our kind server and had an overwhelming dinner. Their Big Eye Tuna was served first. It was to die for. I personally love truffle oil, and its scent and flavor all went well with the crispy tortilla and thinly sliced tuna. This is a must-try on their menu, and probably one of the best I had the night. Second, we got the Yellowtail jalapeno. There was nothing that really stood out or made it different to other japanese restaurants, so you could skip this. Then, we got the rock shrimp as a finale to our appetizers. This got us FULL. Their portion for rock shrimp which is simply popcorn shrimp marinaded in somewhat like a spicy mayo sauce was huge, but the overall taste got sick after few pieces.
Yes we thought we were full but we still managed to move onto our entrees, the rolls! Our server asked us couple questions and brought us out the Popping spicy crab roll and Happa roll. The happa was a little spicy but it was delicious. THEIR POPPING SPICY CRAB ROLL WAS THE BEST. it was probably one of the best rolls in my whole entire life. You may think pop rocks in sushi roll is weird, but trust me and get this roll. It is worth every buck that you pay for it.
The service was great as well. Just make sure that you have plenty of time if you were to dine here since they do take awhile to bring out your food. Our dinner was done after their signature dessert-chocolate in a cup, which was amazing-- in total we were there for about 2-3 hours. Long dinner but everything was amazing.
