| - We ate here on a Wed night and the place was not so packed....parking was easy, the staff was friendly, and we were seated immediately. The place is small, so you are eating in close proximity to other tables...but that's kool, especialy if u like listening to others complain about life and such. I swear it makes me feel better sometimes ( i know, sounds selfish and insincere....o well). My girilfriend had the roqefort 9spelling may be wrong) salad, which I tasted and will say it may have been the best salad I've eaten in quite some time. I had the Muscles appetizer with extra bread for dipping. Probably had a bit 2 much bread beacuse i was only able to finish half my chicken mushroom mashed potato and asparagus meal (lunch tomorow will be great). Gabi order the Lobster that came with a pineapple rissoto, which she says was also very good. For dessert we had a light and fluffy warmed cheesecake with fruit and berries. I thinki forgot to mention this is bring your own bottle. Corkage fee applies but it is totaly resonable at 9bucks I believe. Now that I have mentioned our meal (which I am quite pleased with) i will mention the ambiance. This restaurant is, or rather was, a small house. Low ceilings...small rooms...Certainly different than the typical brand spanking new establishments we see here in town so frequently. Apparently COUP DeES TARTES has been around for 11 years now. You gotta asume theyare doing things right if they are still in business. Foos was great...Ambiance was romantic and quaint and the service from Claire and Mona could not have been better. Both helped one another out and were quite gracious with reccomendations. BTW, Mona is a Marisa Tomei look a like. I will be back,,,,,2 appetizers, 2 entrees, dessert and coffee for 100buks at this place was well worth it.
