rev:text	We met Galaxie several years ago, we are now onto our 8th year of hiring her services for family portraits - we use one of them as our New Year's card too...but we have also hired Galaxie to take our daughters' high school graduation portraits, and finally sometime next year we are going to hire her for our eldest's college graduation pictures. What we enjoy MOST about Galaxie as our photographer is that through her pictures, you can FEEL how her "subjects" are moved, and that is because SHE, as a human being, is equally moved by so much herself in her own world. She is curious, kind, gentle, strong, emotionally intelligent therefore emanating such feelings and expressions through her lens and onto her "subjects". After losing our home to a fire, therefore many of our prized and un-replaceable "things" like our pictures, making sure now that we have Galaxie take at least yearly family pictures in different, exotic places of our unique desert landscape has helped us once again rebuild and preserve ever more our sense of place and family history as a family. That week before the sinister, we had our pictures as is tradition taken by Galaxie; when she found out what had happened she gifted us with several past years of family pictures to REMIND us ever so humbly how our strength as a family and our love for each other would most definitely help us get through that particular challenge. Indeed, she was right...our special family photos taken throughout the years by Galaxie simply helped us at that moment remember and better understand the uniqueness that we are as a family, to appreciate the fact that we were all 4 together, alive. Anyway, no matter where we will live, I hope to always be able to have Galaxie join us for our yearly tradition of spending a day with us to take yet more precious and priceless family pictures! If there are "things" we are most attached to, especially after the tremendous loss, that we would want to replace or bring where ever we go, it would be ALL of Galaxie's moving and beautiful pictures she takes of my family, including our dog :). We are true fans of Galaxie's work! But we also very much enjoy being around such a talented human being!
