| - I went to Gaucho Parilla two weekends in a row -- the first time was forgettable (I got the rosemary braised beef sandwich which was only ok), but the second time was soooo good.
I hear that they used to be much smaller and not really have seating, but the new place, although there is a wait, has basic seating after you've ordered at the front, and the servers are all so nice and helpful.
As everyone has said: GET THE STEAK SANDWICH. We got the ribeye cut, and it was a spectacular slab of beef. Juicy, tender, delicious. All the adjectives of greatness for a steak.
We also got a pretty well-dressed and well-seasoned salad, which was as satisfying as a side salad can get, and the humita (corn pudding with chilis and fresh herbs). The humita was addictive, a bit sweet, a bit savory, a bit spicy, and entirely delicious. I'd highly recommend that as well.
4.5 stars rounded up because the steak sandwich and the humita are truly remarkable.
