Good afternoon all,
We had a really good time at Sierra Bonita. It truly lived up to its name of being a Southwestern experience. It is a medium sized restaurant, very intimate and cozy. The lighting is inviting, the people were friendly and the food was really delicious. We also had a really great turn out for the event as well.
My Review of Sierra Bonita Grill
Sierra Bonita Grill really impressed me. They have original menu items and have a lot of great choices on their HH menu. Our 2 favorites were their Frito pie and their Green Chile pork. Both were truly flavorful and delicious. So much so that we ordered them twice. The Guacamole and Queso dip were close seconds. The drinks were good, not as good as other places I've been, but still enjoyable. They actually have a really great house red wine on their HH menu which is rare considering most wines on HH menus aren't the best. I had their margarita, but I found it to be too sweet for my taste, although others who love sweet drinks (Nina) probably would love it. After they re-made it with less agave, it was more tart which is more to my style. I generally try to avoid sugar and prefer more natural sweet flavor from fresh squeezed fruits. Their pomegranate margarita also got great comments from Shara and that their Sangria was also really good. I would definitely recommend going back there for a meal or HH. I like trying out places before bringing Anthony, because he can be less open for experimenting. This place made the list, I'll definitely bring him there for one of our date nights.
