| - My family and I decided to visit Toronto Islands on a weekday to avoid crowds. We bought a ferry ticket (about $8/person) - departed from Jack Layton Ferry Terminal to Centre Island. Centre Island is well maintained but full of greenery (e.g., flowers, shrubs, trees, etc.), theme park for the kids, disc golf zones, and pier with restaurants. It can be enjoyed on foot, by boat, or by renting a bikes (e.g., surrey bike, bicycles). We rode from Centre Island to Ward's Island and back. Going at a relaxing pace - it took about 45 minutes. We stopped along the way to admire the breathtaking views of Toronto from the Toronto Islands.
