  • This was my favorite yelp event I've been to in awhile. I have been to the Porch into Oakland so I was excited to try this location to see how it differed. When we arrived we were greeted with watermelon mojitos and an open bar. The mojito was not my style of drink but I did order one of the local beers off their draft list. Both the manager and head chef opened the restaurant in Oakland. It was great to see how much of a good pair they are since they still are working together 7 years later. Chef Kevin explained how he grows a lot of his own herbs and vegetables and what he doesn't grow he finds local. He took us on a tour of his garden and Grow Pittsburgh guided us through planting a marigold! I loved it. We did have some samples of food including a zucchini flatbread, crabcake, prime rib crostini, an avocado blt crostini, honey bbq chicken wing, and a cheese tray. Everything was fabulous. If I'm over in the south hills area I will definitely come back here.
