| - This review is limited to the basement (brew pub) as it was late night and upstairs was closed. We came in after the Royal Winter Fair was over - so around 11p on a Saturday night. It was a quiet weekend in Liberty Village, so no surprise, it wasn't packed in the basement, but the people who were there were having a great time. This is a great place to go and actually talk to friends - the noise is people talking, with the music truly just a background noise to complement the conversation.
Wait staff were fantastic, in particular the person who greeted and seated us.
Décor is... hmmm.... graphic design and faux vintage. Not sure I could precisely name it - but I can say we were comfortable. You can get a booth for a more focused conversation or join the crowd in the more open seating.
If you go, you must walk back to the washrooms. :-) Because as you do, you'll find the brewing room, which is quite beautiful - and I love how they did the washrooms - all unisex and each one self contained.
Didn't try much off the late night menu, only having some Stickly Toffee Pudding - and it was wonderful. For beer, I tried the Unity, a sweeter and darker beer. I enjoyed it.
Would I return? Yes
Would I recommend: Yes - this is particularly great for people who are walking distance - good neighbourhood meeting spot.
