While I echo the rest of the Yelp reviewers on the quality of dainty pastries here, the service was not up to par on my most recent visit.
This is what happened: I ordered a case of 6 macaroons for a gift and the lady at the counter mentioned that they were only able to accommodate these in a plastic bag as the store had run out of the nice larger boxes. I proceeded to ask whether they can put the 6 macaroons into the smaller duo boxes, for presentation purposes. The lady that was helping me, checked with another lady (who I assumed to be the manager in charge) and came back to decline my proposal and added that if I wanted to have them in the duo boxes, they would have to charge me $1 per box. You would think, that in spending $15 on a set of macaroons, one should be able to walk away with a nice casing free of charge, but hey that's just me and I might be out of my mind.
(A free) piece of advice to the manager of this particular location: an extra couple dollars does not a successful business make.
