  • I went to two of the big Toyota dealerships to buy my first car. No credit history only a 2k down payment. Both Toyota dealerships told me I would not qualify because my interest would be too high and my monthly payments were going to be atleast $500 a month. I worked with both Toyota dealerships for a whole month to try to find me a car. All I was asking for was a red,white or black Toyota Avalon/Highlander or Camry with leather interior preferred. Both Toyota dealerships kept telling me it was not possible with my credit since I had no credit history. I was asking for $300 a month payment. I was starting to realize I would not be able to finance a car and my only option was to buy a car cash or do in house financing. I went on yelp and found Charlies Car sales and saw the reviews. I decided to call and ask if they did inhouse financing? They said they did but wondered why I would want to do that if I wouldnt be putting anything towards my credit history. I told them I was tired of people trying to run my credit so that at the end they would tell me the same thing- "no credit history" "high interest" "high monthly".Duane who helped me told me they didnt know why Toyota couldnt help me but they would try their best to help me. They sent me a link to do the application. I thought here it goes again another rejection. I decided to do the application anyways. He texted me the next morning with vehicles I qualified for, the monthly amounts and interest rates. I couldnt believe it. Duane was super helpful and understanding of my situation. He never pressured me or made me feel like I couldnt finance a vehicle. I came into the dealership the next day and they were able to get me into a 2006 highlander for only $318 amonth, leather interior and not too high on the miles. It came with a 6month service plan too. I couldnt believe how easy they made it for me. I would totally recomend this dealership to 1st time buyers like me. Thanks Duane! And thanks Charlies Cheap Car Sales for selling me my first financed car!
