From the get-go this place was horrific. We called ahead as it was my niece's 16th birthday and wanted to sit outside. When we arrived they said they couldn't put 5 people on the patio together, though the 4 tops and 2 tops were practically on top of each other and could have easily been pushed together, as there were many that were empty. We settled to sit inside "with a view". That view was only for half of the table, as the other half faced away from "the view".
Upon being seated the overly presumptuous server immediately removed all of the wine glasses without even asking my wife and I if we would like wine. The server was grumpy and acted as if we were annoying to him to be there and asking questions about the food. His answers were short and condescending. The other patrons were more friendly as the tables were practically on top of each other. When we asked about a MyVegas coupon the server lied to us and told us we had to order 2 entrees to get the $36.00 drink. Mistakenly we ordered the higher priced food before reading the fine print again and not seeing anything anywhere about 2 entrees.
The food was VERY overpriced for what was delivered. The broccolini was about the best thing we received but the rest of the food was bland and lacked depth. The tots were comparable to the local drive up diner. When the bill cam there was a mysterious CNF charge on it. When asked, the server said it was a Franchise Fee. We obviously had no idea about this charge until the bill was already in my hand. It was about the cost of another appetizer.
All in all there was nothing redeeming about this restaurant other then the lollipop that came in the overpriced drink. The customer service was absolutely atrocious and in a service industry town that we live in, this was totally unacceptable. Needless to say I would definitely not return to Sugar Factory nor would i recommend it.
