New to the area, I chose Ester Tailoring based on Yelp reviews. To say I was disappointed is to put it mildly. I usually do my own alterations. I had 2 new denim skirts (part of 2 piece ensembles) and limited time so I thought I should try a professional. Big mistake. Both skirt were very simple gored skirts with buttons down the front. One had 8 gores the other 4. Ester charged $24.00 to shorten each skirt which I thought was a lot but not the big problem. When I got the skirts back there was a difference of 6 inches between the front and back of the 8 gored skirt and of course a big dip on the sides. The 4 gore skirt also had a dig of 3 inches. When I brought the one skirt back to Ester (I was afraid to let her touch the 4 gore skirt) she argued with me saying that's the way my body was. I kept my cool and finally she agreed to even it out. Of course there is still a large difference between the front and back with dips on both sides but it would not have been possible to shorten the skirt any higher. I consider that outfit ruined. Would I go to Ester again. No Way.
