  • Finally got to try Central Bistro for brunch/breakfast on Saturday. However, I was extremely disappointed. Things started well, the hostess was very friendly and brought us waters right after she sat us. Immediately after, a server ( a girl with short hair) came by and offered citrus for our waters and then took our drink order. Soon after a different server came by and asked for our drink order which leads me to believe that there wasn't any communication. The actual server whose name I don't remember, (some tall white guy with pouffy hair) went over about 6 things that he likes on the menu. My advice would be: pick two that are not similar, don't start listing off the menu. I ordered the 3 pigs omelet with the potatoes on the side and my boyfriend ordered a breakfast pizza with an over easy egg on top. I was so excited to try the omelet because the menu said it had fontina cheese (which is my favorite). Begin disappointment when the food comes out. My potatoes were kinda hard/chewy which leads me to believe that they were from the day before but they just re tossed them to heat them up. My omelet was just a glorified burrito only instead of a tortilla it was egg and the inside had some meat and a little bit of cheese. When I mean a little you couldn't even taste the cheese (the main reason I picked the dish). To even connect the eggs to a tortilla the eggs were over cooked and kinda dry, you could see it was browned in some places. Omelets are supposed to be fluffy and the insides are supposed to stay inside. I almost think that they precook the eggs first then once it is ordered they put the add-ins. My boyfriends breakfast pizza was literally just a pizza with sausage and an over easy egg on top which shouldn't had been something to mess up. Well, the egg came out over hard, the server was able to take the egg back and bring an egg with a yolk that runs. I understand that some restaurants have moments where they over cook the eggs but it seemed to be a trend here because the table near us had to send his eggs back twice. The overall experience was very low. We barely saw our server who has to be new to the food industry because he barely smiled and carried a pompous quality that was not welcoming although it wasn't too much of an issue because he barely touched back at the table. The runner/buser seemed more friendly than our server. Do not plan on ever returning.
