  • I had booked a Studio Suite at the "Palms Place" tower but once we arrived here we were told that the rooms were all booked but that they had a room for us over at the main building of the Palms Casino Resort at the "Ivory Tower". I booked through a 3rd party website so the fact they switched our rooms on us wasn't anything I held against the Palms company and I got a sweet deal so the fact that they had a room for us was good enough. We moved our car to the other parking garage closer to the main Palms Casino Resort and headed to our Premier Guestroom in the "Ivory Tower". We were blown away at the room itself, it was beautifully decorated and the size of the room was pretty nice. Everything in the room looked brand new and all the little extra details like the desk area, chaise lounge sofa by the large window and a little bench built onto the wall next to the desk made us really happy we decided to stay here on our Vegas vacation. The bathroom was beautiful and would be perfect for couples staying here because they way the shower and toilet are set up make for a real intimate and romantic feeling with nothing but a half frosted glass wall dividing the two, could be a little awkward for families or friends though. We loved the location of the place, its not directly on the strip so noise isn't a issue but its not too far that you feel left out of the Vegas action. The whole time we were here we used Uber and never paid more than $9 a trip to get us to and from the strip. We also stayed at another place later on in our vacation that was on the strip (see my reviews for specific place) and me and my girlfriend both agreed that The Palms still came out on top. This place will definitely be on our top of the list when we plan our next trip to Vegas. The one small complaint I have was that I ordered a mix drink that had Monster and Vodka and the price for it was $14.50! The size of the drink totally didn't match the price at all and seemed ridiculous. Can't really remember if I got it at the Rojo Lounge or at the Lounge Bar inside at the casino but wasn't happy with the price, I still tipped the man because I'm not a jerk and I'm sure he doesn't come up with the prices and I know its Vegas and all but it just didn't seem right. I'm guessing I could of just went to the Hooters that's there and got the same drink probably bigger and for a cheaper price.
