| - After a long day of work, my friend and I were in need of a convenient, comfortable, place to have happy hour. They don't offer happy hour on a Thursday, but we stayed anyway. We were seated, a nice gentleman provided us 2-for-1 champagne and encouraged a Yelp check in for another discount. The server was gracious. They even charged my phone. When we were nearly ready for our 2nd glass, my friend spit put a white substance - it looked like wax. This white substance was NOT wax. We called the server over, she apologized and took 1 glass of champagne off of our bill. Each glass was $21.00. We laughed it off. When the bill came, they over charged us (I think it was 6, not 4) and a mandatory 22% "service charge" was added, and a cute note from the server that encouraged us to tip more. When we asked the manager he disagreed - my friend was defiant and stood her ground. He eventually agreed and changed the bill. Bottom line. Great atmosphere. Customer service appears to be good, but not genuine. Not to mention a white substance in a glass of champagne - EWWWWWW! We still have no idea what it was - definitely not something from a bar. Butter, perhaps?
