This place was great! I had never been to one but needed to grab some plants and soil for a project at work so we headed over.
There is such a large selection, that I can't imagine you could leave empty-handed. The woman at the information booth waaaaaay in the back was super helpful in explaining what type of soil and plant would be best for the area in using, and explained not only how frequently to water, but how much water was needed - which is important.
I wanted to spend hours here smelling all of the things and touching every leaf, but I was on the clock so I had to get in and out. I'll be back for sure!
Downfalls: it was brutal to try and find someone who worked there. The employees weren't identifiable by a badge or tshirt or pouch. Some woman actually asked me if I carried something and I had to tell her that I wasn't on staff.
Additionally, a bunch of men were having out in the parking lot, and when we first pulled in they were all waving and smiling and trying to get me to pull the car over to them. It wasn't until I started to drive away from them, that I realized that they were all dressed ready to landscape...and that's when it clicked. That portion did not impress me.
Oh! I am most forgot to mention my very favorite part. After we had checked out, I pulled my car up to the front of the building so my husband and I could load everything into the back of our very small VW GTI. We were worried that we are going to get dirt and water all over the interior so we purchased burlap to lay down first. Someone who was on staff came over to us and offered to load our vehicle. He loaded it all inside my tiny little car on top of the burlap, and didn't get anything on the interior of car. He took so much care to make sure that the Geranium heads didn't get snapped off by the hatch. It impressed me.
