Maybe it's just the collection at the moment, but MoCCA was the worst art museum I've ever visited.
First off, it's a small museum, basically 2 galleries. One was closed for a new installation. The one that was open didn't really have any art. No paintings, no anything really. They had some items on display, for example:
1) A postcard that instructed you to experience art by walking outside, turning left, stopping in front of a tattoo parlor, spotting a piece of gum wedged in the sidewalk and contemplating your surroundings.
2) An installation which consisted of the artist hanging all of her nametags from art fairs she had attended.
This was basically self-indulgent drivel...the rest wasn't much better.
It only gets 2 stars instead of 1 because it was free and had a clean restroom.
