The hotel was great in terms of location, it's furnishings were gorgeous, and the staff helpful for the most part. For the price you pay, there should be a complimentary breakfast.
MAJOR ISSUE:
The pool area is unsafe. They have elected to paint the floor which was smooth and slippery. They even painted the brick around the hot tub and the pool. My son exited one side of the pool holding the rail, he no sooner let go of the rail taking two steps when his feet came in front of him and he fell back hitting his head on the concrete. I witnessed and a few others witnessed. I literally went to the front desk. The man at the desk while nice seemed to think it was the first time this had ever happened. Yeah I am guessing it wasn't but most parents yelled at their kids for running BUT my 13 year old wasn't running. Anyhow after insisting there was a form they needed to fill out, they called their management and confirmed that I was right. Then he thought he was supposed to fill out the form but considering he didn't witness the accident and I did that seemed ridiculous. He then implied that he has been known to lose forms so I took a pic of the form. When I mentioned the floors he seemed to imply that the area being aesthetically pleasing was more important than safety and people falling. I went back to the pool area to discover another kid had fallen but didn't hit his head and also not running. No form filled out on that one either. My other son and his friend who is 7 then was able to slide/glide across the area from the pool to the hot tub without pain or slowing down so it's not safe!!!!!!
